This is just my opinion, but the 250r no doubt deserves a top 3 spot, it was the most dominant sport quad in the motocross scene up until the 450s came along, and it's still well capable of competing with them today. The only reason why we don't see more of them in the motocross scene today is because of 1: parts availability, and 2: they were technically banned from motocross or those who road them couldn't get sponsors or something like that. And I believe Doug gust was one the last professionals to race the 250r, and then he moved on to the ltr, which was designed by him.

Bro you rated the TRX450 above the KTM 525XC. The KTM 450SX or 505SX should’ve come in top three if not number one. The KTM 450 SX made 50-51HP factory while the LTR on its best year 2007 made 47 RWHP.

Got to disagree. 250r should have been first. LTR second. And i would tie the Honda 450 and YFZ a even third. 250r won more races, raced longer and still win races today. They MADE the sport. It is THE bench mark even to this day for sport quads. LTR was the kick in the butt the sport needed. A race ready, off the show room floor machine. It is an absolute beast to this day...if you see any one riding them. Factory parts are getting nearly impossible to get. The have what is considered almost perfect suspension geometry, fantastic engines, and great rider ergonomics. The Honda 450 and YFZ are great machines in their own right. They are the ones that have keep the sport alive since the 2008 sport ATV crash. Yamaha has stood by and keep polishing the YFZ until we got the great machine we have today. Be lets face it, it kinda sucked when it came out. And the Honda. Great machine. Granted it came out in 2004. And the did almost no upgrades to it in the 10 year span it was produced. Thankfully the aftermarket LOVES Honda's. I love all sport quads. But theses are my top picks. I do have a huge soft spot for the ex400, Predator 500, and both KTM's (also the Outlaws with the KTM engins). Really hope to see one day, some new 450
