Real talk man. It is all about just diving in. Nothing is going to teach you more than just getting started and learning as you go!

I genuinely believe this is one the most important lessons someone can learn for their life.

When someone asks me for help on how to start something, I ask:
• *"How would you do it if you had to start it tomorrow?"*
That is how I get them to think about step 1!

there are literally millions of hours of self help guides that give nothing close to as valuable advice as this :O)

This is common among introverts, as we tend to endlessly internalize shit and prefer having 'all the steps' before doing anything unlike extroverts who prefer the Do Now plan later(or not) approach.
The psychology behind why, is pretty amusing...the one doesn't want to make the wrong move while the other doesn't want to be the last one to make a move.

Great advice. A professor told me a few years back that when you're feeling overwhelmed by massive, complex projects just start, period. Wading in that tiniest bit will always put you on a path to finishing; dwelling on the difficulty or fear never will.

I think a lot of this programming starts in school, where repeatedly, we're taught a series of lessons that eventually lead to a test over that same material. This process repeats throughout the entirety of most formal education. I can understand the reasoning behind teaching that way, but honestly, the task IS the test, the test IS the task, and the learning supplements the task(s), not the other way around. It's a bit weird when you realize that none of us started learning this way, e.g. walking or talking. It's not until we get to school that linear growth and development start to be reinforced as THE way. It wasn't until I was in my 30's that I started to realize this, but at least I figured it out. Growth and development is rarely linear in my experience.

YES! Reminds me of this quote a lady once said “Clarity doesn’t come through thought but engagement”. Start engaging in what you want to do then later things eventually become more clearer.

This is SO true. I've been doing this exact thing for years, literally YEARS - almost a decade at this point. Trying to do all the theory and no practice, putting it off by telling myself "I don't know how to do it so I can't start until I do know how to do it" while ignoring the plain, simple fact that I will NEVER know how to do something unless I just start doing it.

Damn.

another way to say:

° start being imperfect
° don't give attention to getting results right away, just focus on building the habit using the 2m rule mentioned in Atomic habits by James Clear.

This is exactly how I cultivated the habit of drawing everyday.

Great book everyone should read is "The One Thing".

You need to focus on just one thing at a time and it's not that hard. Then repeat over and over again

This one of of lifes biggest realizations for me, I swear! I used to think like this with making music for 20 years, then when i turned 23 I finally started. I didn't care if i didn't know anything, I just threw myself out there and learned. Don't think or plan everyhing, just fkn start. Rest will come.

I love your video at large but i will advice everybody who is into cryptos to Stick with ETH and BTC as much as you can guys. If everyone sells when it starts to fall, which at one point it will, the dream may be lost because of it being too volatile for companies to get behind.

First off, this was the message I needed to hear today. It's uncanny how you seem to know EXACTLY what to say when your viewers need to hear it. This is a SERIOUS problem I have, and I found this video incredibly powerful in terms of kicking my butt and telling me to get started. What I LOVED was how you got up off your stool and switched on your phone afterward, because it showed you taking your own advice - focusing on creating content rather than getting mired in the procrastination of editing and making it 'perfect' . In the end, this video was probably MORE effective because of it, which shows how that time would have been wasted if you'd edited it.
