Utility regulators on the New Orleans City Council want to know if Entergy New Orleans can ensure the security of customers’ data in response to a series of WWL-TV reports last week.

City Council President Helena Moreno, who is also the chairwoman of the council’s Utility Committee, is calling on Entergy to report about the security of billing data at a public hearing next week. She said she watched the WWL-TV investigation and was disturbed to learn that scammers pretending to be Entergy bill collectors appeared to know specific information about customers’ Entergy accounts.

This sounds like an inside scam job. Someone who is working for Entergy could be behind this. I want to know why Entergy is not recording all calls. Entergy is one of the worst companies in the USA. Way to many issues with this company.

I wonder if that's why my bill went up from $43.00 to over $90.00. They sent my bill to my e-mail account without permission, and I called them about it, and they did it again. The girl i talked to was kinda whispering, and I could hear alot of noise in the background like you hear when a telemarketer calls you. They can wait for that $90.00 until i get some answers. Like we all not going through enough right now Damit !!!
