You're absolutely right with the chain Mark. When going from one as dirty as mine gets, it's like riding a new bike after you've cleaned it.
I think I can say from all of us, thanks for making great videos with friendly, helpful advice.
Ride safe everyone

I'm a converted chain waxer. Once you get everything laid out its pretty quick. You actually save time by not having to clean your chain after every ride.

Great tips, as usual! Worthwhile doing these as often as possible, though I'm guilty of putting these off for months at a time (especially the chains) :/ Looking forward to getting some free bike speed in my next IRONMAN 70.3 in November by making sure my bike is clean and well assembled!

I always clean my drivetrain, but i forget my jockey wheels all the time, until this weekend when I serviced my rear mech, took the jockey wheels out and cleaned them. Totally forgot that they have 3 holes in each, they were that covered in crap, they looked like solid disks 😁😁

During Syracuse 70.3 my bolts on the saddle came loose, and i was stuck riding 15mi with my saddle all the way back and titled upwards. Needless to say but my back was screaming at me from being so streched out up the last bitt of the ride. Not fun.

GTN, please help me. I experience from hot toes during long rides (over 100 miles), when my toes get very sensitive, tingly and feel pain when going over rough roads. How can I prevent this from
happening? Many Thanks.

Wait. What? A chain for a standard group set has around 40, 000 moving or mechanical parts? I’ve replayed that part of the vid 3 times now, still don’t understand where you get the number from.

On a race at the weekend I joked with a guy after who’d lost one of the tri bar ski poles mid race - it does happen

deflating your tyres might give you more grip, but it will also provide more friction, probably cancelling all your other adaptions. For example you will notice better fuel efficiency while driving your car on a long journey with fully inflated tyres compared to partially deflated tyres.

There is no shame in using mountain bike cleats.
