Marvel's Spider-Man - Brand New Series Coming to Disney XD

Watch the brand new series, Marvel's Spider-Man, premiering Saturday, August 19 on Disney XD!

Peter Parker is accepted into Horizon High - a high school for brilliant young scientific minds. He struggles with the duality of his social life at school and hiding his secret identity of Spider-Man from everyone including his best friend, Harry Osborn, who attends the competing Osborn Academy for Geniuses. As Peter embraces his alter-ego, and battles against super villains like Vulture, Lizard, Doc Ock and Hammerhead, he is forced to watch Harry slowly descend to the wrong side of good and evil.

People are confusing the animation and art.
The animation is actually pretty good. It's the art style that people seem to dislike (though I don't mind it)

First of all, I'm pretty sure that Jackal was in there somewhere. Second: People, please just give this a chance! The first episode isn't even out yet and people are already bashing it! Spectacular Spiderman ISN'T coming back, so let's just enjoy this for now. Please stop comparing this, a show that hasn't even aired yet, to S.S, and please give it a chance.

There's some serious voice talent in this series. Laura Bailey? Scott Menville? Plus the animation looks great! It looks like they spent years working on the story here. I'm down for this. Spectacular was brilliant, but I have faith they can make this one really good. Not judging till I see full episodes.

1. Stop asking for S.S. Season 3, it's not happening
2. Don't judge until you see an episode
3. The art style in S.S. wasn't great either, it was very simplistic
4. At least there is no monkey noises
5. Stop comparing to other shows, try to look at it as it's own thing


All in all, watch an episode first, don't compare to other Spidey shows, stop begging for a false hope and just TRY to give this a chance? That is all.

XD is a commonly used online representation of a laughing face. Not only this, but the majority (not all, but a lot) of the shows on Disney XD are quite poor a laugh worthy. This has led me to believe that 'Disney XD' is simply Disney laughing at how bad the shows there are and the fact that people still watch them...


Let's be honest though, the original Disney XD Avengers show and most of the Spidey shows have been great so far... Let's just cross our fingers...

People complaining about the animation, honestly I’m a huge fan of it. I actually like it more than the animation of any other Marvel tv show on Disney XD.

Okay, before you seven year old kids that want to bring back Spectacular Spider-Man but haven't even seen it, Disney cannot bring back Spectacular Spider-Man because the rights for S.S is owned by Sony, and when they made the show Sony has all rights to Spider-Man (until Marvel and Sony agreed to share custody of Spidey), and any past Spider-Man projects & products cannot be resumed.

This show doesn't look bad, it is similar to the Spectacular Spider-Man art-style, you wouldn't know if it were good or bad if you haven't even seen the show so give it a chance and forget about Spectacular Spider-Man because IT ISN'T COMING BACK.

The art style is amazing. I only hope that this Spider-Man series is more story-driven than The Ultimate Spider-Man. Basically more like The Spectacular Spider-Man.
