The truth is the chant “Ole” does not have its roots in Montreal. Wikipedia writes, "Olé, Olé, Olé" is a chant used in sport. The chant is based on the Spanish "Olé" interjection used to signify approval by the spectators in bullfighting.” It is not universally a Montreal Chant!!
