DD1 is still by far my favorite game. It's simple enough to become a comfort game while having plenty of complex strategy once you dive in, every hero(aside from summoner) is balanced and has a role to fill with a specific build, tons of content, tons of equipment, doesn't feel like a grindfest, and is just overall very fun. I also just love the pacing of dd1. You get strong at a very flat rate meaning most low tier and mid tier gear like mythics are worth farming because you actually stay at that level for a long time. In DDA for example, you just place a few wisps beat the map and really only start caring about the game once you power level to the high levels.

DD1 on ps3 was so awesome but they took servers down on 2012 :( that was such a sad day for me. DD2 was fun but much grinding, over 4800 hours on it. On DDA I wish the tavern was just like it. But overall DD1 on ps3 was my favorite.

Dd1 will always be my favorite but I really did. also love DD2 when freeze towers plus traps were a thing, with those interesting armour set stats

DD1 on Steam is my favorite tower defense game now. I enjoyed playing DDA too for its different, but familiar gameplay style.
The way defense builds are laid out on Awakened's Massacre difficulty is not the same as maps in DD1 on Nightmare or Redux's Ascension.

Dd1 will always be my favorite game bec it was my childhood together with games like castle crashers and terraria. Its a perfect game, simple but with a lot of complex strats

I've only played DD1 and DD2 i haven't played DDA yet but my fav is DD1 so far

DD1 for sure. The nostalgia, and then get into the hacker lobbies and getting the hacked weapons lol. It was so fun. DD2 wasn’t bad at all, but with the technology we have now I feel like the game could of been wayyy better. Hopefully a DD3 happens and they make it even better

DD1 is probably my favorite by far, DDE was very fun in its lifespan, finding the bugs for the developers and pushing content that kept coming out was just pure fun but out of the blue a middle finger came from the sky. DD2 is the game that I know is polished and definitely loved by its developers, but I just cant. They have a horrible way to integrate and remind players what the hell they were doing before quiting and everytime I give DD2 a try which is like twice a year, I find myself overwhelmed, I go and look up guides, I run three games and I dont find the enjoyment im looking for. DDA I haven't tried yet because it rubbed me the wrong way that they had an incredibly succesful kickstarter yet the game was listed at 25euros without any discounts for previous game owners. I had DD1 all expansions, I was in the Defense Council for DDE and DD2, why do you make me feel like you're just trying to rip off my love for the series? Also I despised the new visuals, it looked like a foggy mess. I will definitely be buying DDA in the future though, when it's price or a good sale drops for it.

DD1 Redux gave me all I expected out of DDE, DD2 and DDA so I am currently happy to have experienced the games I did and still actively have one that I enjoy playing (Started fresh again since Redux and its a blast)

I don’t have much to add to this, because I’ve only played dd1 and dd2, but I find dd1 really replayable for some reason. It’s easy to learn how to play and what works for each stage as to completing it. Dd2 was very complicated for me, with the way menus worked and the whole thing with adding stuff into your weapons. But I like both games. Prefer dd1 over dd2

DD2 is the best in terms of content, there's just loads to do.

DD1 is my favourite in terms of raw gameplay, the level up system felt amazing and i loved it.

DDE is well it's DDE

DDA I haven't played as its still not been released for console so :/

Theres no doubt, DDA is the most accessible game in the series, yes DD2 technically has more content, but thats like saying WoW has more content than FF14, its technically true but you still have a metric ton of content to play through with DDA, im still shocked at the sheer amount of build diversity in DDA, i could have 10 different characters for each class and still build each one completely different from the last with their own playstyles, gear, attributes and runes
