Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα σε ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, τα οποία έχουν ως πηγή τους το ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ, ο Τούρκος πρόεδρος Ταγίπ Ερντογάν στη διάρκεια βιντεοσκοπημένου μηνύματος του, το οποίο δόθηκε σήμερα στη δημοσιότητα, είπε ότι η Τουρκία με τη μεγαλύτερη ακτογραμμή στη Μεσόγειο, δεν είναι δυνατόν να παραμείνει παρατηρητής των εξελίξεων στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο από την εξέδρα, δείχνοντας με αυτόν τον τρόπο ότι η Τουρκία θα επιμείνει στις προκλήσεις της στην περιοχή, αψηφώντας την ΕΕ, τις ΗΠΑ καθώς επίσης και την πλειοψηφία των χωρών της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου, που βλέπουν τη σημερινή τουρκική κυβέρνηση να έχει επεκτατικά σχέδια, τα οποία φυσικά βλάπτουν τα κυριαρχικά τους δικαιώματα.

According to Greek media reports, which have as their source AMNA, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said in a video message released today that Turkey, with the largest Mediterranean coastline, is impossible to remain an observer of developments in the Eastern Mediterranean from the "grandstand", thus showing that Turkey will persist in its provocations in the region, defying the EU, the US as well as the majority of Eastern Mediterranean countries that see the current Turkish government as having expansionist plans, which of course undermine their sovereign rights.
