Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα στα ελληνικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, ο Τούρκος πρόεδρος Ταγίπ Ερντογάν σε συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε στην εφημερίδα Peninsula του Κατάρ, δήλωσε ότι "η Τουρκία δεν θα κάνει ποτέ πίσω στο Αιγαίο και τη Μεσόγειο".

Δεν θα έχουμε καλά ξεμπερδέματα με δαύτους. Δεν είναι μόνο ο Ερντογάν. Ανέκαθεν οι Τούρκοι είχαν απαιτήσεις στο Αιγαίο και την ανατολική μεσόγειο. "Βυθίσατε το Χόρα" όποιος θυμάται.
