Movember - Join the Men of TYT for Men's Health

"During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

My dad had prostate cancer. Thank god they caught it early because he has regular check-ups. All guys need to do that. We ladies don't like going to the gyno either, but we gotta do it. Stay healthy, TYT Army!!

I'm glad they're doing this. There's always more publicity for Breast Cancer awareness and fund raising, and the male issues need to be as much a part of those kinds of efforts.

Started out as a prostate cancer awareness thing because it's one of the most underestimated kinds of cancer. I guess it's about general men's health issues now.

They are trying to rise awareness. It was breast cancer survivors/etc. That started to become vocal about breast cancer and managed to raise awareness, which is a positive thing. Much more women HAVE survived due to the awareness. If you want more awareness, then get out there and do something about it. I'd be glad to help too. But there's no point complaining about it and waiting around for others to get active.

Very glad you guys are doing this because its a way of getting out word about getting regular prostate exams. Although to be honest, i wish it were not this way at all. When we have breast cancer awareness month for example, we should have just purely Cancer awareness month. Tell people to get a check up for all kinds of common cancers that we can actually detect, such as breast/prostate/testicular blah blah blah.

It raises awareness of mens health issue. In addition, the average movember participant raises $150, $135 of which goes towards men's health programs.
