I was supposed to get my package on Monday ups on the all side it is on its way then I waited a couple hours then it told me it’s in transit it been 8 days now

My package is an hour from me and has been in arriving late status almost a week after the promised date. This is ridiculous! I should get this item free if it’s not already been stolen or lost and they just don’t want to say so. The automated responses do nothing to assure me it even exists at this point. It shouldn’t take days to get from the city to my town……
