Sen. Dela Rosa heated exchanged with a student leader over Senate hearing

Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa and National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP) president Raoul Manuel, a resource person on the hearing regarding the Mandatory ROTC bill, heated exchanged after Manuel latter criticized the senator for backing the release of convicted ex-mayor Antonio Sanchez during a Senate hearing Thursday.

Graduated out of ROTC in my 1st year in college. Sobrang hirap. Nakakapagod. I lost so much weight. But it was worth it.

ROTC nakakamiss mag face to face talaga as a maritime student mandatory samin ang ROTC sa una masakit sa katawan masakit sa tenga puro sila sigaw sobrang strict nila sa ROTC pag mali kulay medyas, belt, t shirt pants, pati buhok at balbas may punishment kana agad lalo na pag late, smiling at nag move without permission ihihiwalay ka sa platoon mo may punishment ulit hahah nakakapagod sya pero habang tumatagal feel ko mas nagiging disiplinado nako pumapasok nako before time proper posture tas pati pananalita sa mga mas may edad sakin naging marespeto pako at higit sa lahat mas minahal ko bansa natin dahil naranasan kong maging instructor ang mga main defenders ng dagat natin ang mga ph navy kaya napaka gandang experience ang ROTC para sakin.

ROTC should be strictly imposed and implemented to all college students. Non- debatable. Rather than fighting the government you should fight for your country.

If youre a student you dont like ROTC but once you are done with it and you look back 5 or 10 years ago you will appreciate the discipline it brought to your life.

When I was in college ROTC is our NSTP and I really enjoyed it.

ROTC is like a mandatory to be Boy Scout for a year, its not a waste of time but instead it will polished students to have discipline in themselves in such aspects that will make them more qualified to be a good leader for our country like myself, rotc is just a piece of cake.

we like rotc, look at other asian countries, they mandate their people to have some sort of military service, and look at us now? we are a vulnerable country so we must do everything we can to heighten our defense.

i think having ROTC is good for the new generation, as they will be disciplined sa loob ng school kasi sa program may mga punishments kasi yan tapos may rules and regulations na strictly followed at maapektuhan kasi yang decision making nila after nila grumaduate at sasabak na sa early adult life which is doing their professions which then makes them efficient kasi nga mas careful na sila sa kanilang decisions in life. Parang nung bata pa tayo na kapag may na late sila yung magiging cleaners pgkatapos ng class
