LG FullHD flatscreen TV acting weird

A friend of mine has a Flatscreen TV that acts weird every time it's turned on. First it works fine for about a minute, then screen goes black. Little by little the picture starts to appear, and after ~10 minutes it looks like in this video. Then turning the TV off & on again makes it work perfectly. Seems like some kind of Firmware problem, but restoring the factory defaults (the best you can do from TV menu) didn't help. :(

I just bought a new 37 in lg flat screen tv brand new and the screen will not stay bright at all and its hard to see. So annoying

my tv goes weird and before i unplugged it then it goes back to normal now and i think an ghost messing with my tv WTF...
