PLANARIA TRAP Review

As well as other parasites, Planaria has been bugging aquarists for a really long time. If you found this video, you most likely have these little buggers in your aquarium. I had a small infestation of those guys in one of my shrimp tank. I treated it successfully with a worm medicine for dogs.
But i agree : the best way is to redo the whole tank if possible.

I've had an infestation of planaria and pest snails in one my 40 gal planted tanks before and introduce 3 yoyo loaches. After about a month or so I've never had any planaria issue afterwards. They also completely got rid of all the pest snails too.

The only way to get rid of ALL planaria is to start your aquarium from scratch and redo it. This planaria are such a big pain in the ass I tried traps and planaria solutions but the only way I got rid of an infestation was to redo the whole setup from scratch.... Be careful when you introduce plants or accesories into your aquarium, always use a quarantine aquarium first so you can observe when you bring new plants/animals/accesories into your aquarium they don't have unwanted hitchhikers on them. A few fish that eat planaria are nice too.

I bought this and regret it so much, one of my zebra fish somehow managed to get into the lid and drowned, I can only assume that during the time it sat on the bottom of the tank my mystery snails may had moved it and dislodged the lid I was absolutely gutted, not to mention it didn't catch a single planarian I am picking them off the glass myself.

Watching all those planaria in the tube makes my blood pressure spike 😂. To physically remove them you would have to catch every single last one of them which is virtually impossible. Although I'd rather avoid it I always opt for a chemical solution and nuke the tank.

I got rid of mine with a product called no planaria

Just buy no planaria. It works wonders
