I definitely wanted to break down a quick look at The 55LB Brecknell Electro Samson. The scale is the official scale of major-league fishing. MLF And Bassmasters
Started using these scales for the accuracy on weighing fish with your boat Marshall. Hope you like the video.

I was surprised that you didn't demonstrate, what I consider a very important function of the unit. That is before you weigh a fish or whatever, 1st turn on the scale, and zero it. Then hit the hold button and then weight your object. This zeros in on the correct weight without the damn thing never settling down and never giving constant weight. This is how they weigh the fish when you see them on TV and the fish weighing process only takes a few seconds.

Ive got one like that and it is super good. And guys, on mine it says on the bag that it is not water proof.. so don't get it too wet;) cheers!

I have the same scale and love it and so far as I've seen I'm the only one that has one, I wish it had a light because I do a lot of night fishing 👊👊👍👍

Hello .. I have this "ErrL" message when I press the ON / ZERO button. When I hang a load on the scale, a weight comes on but is not the correct weight. when I try to calibrate the same message appears. how to repair the scale please?

Trying to figure out the different between the different modes of lbs and oz. On a fish I caught recently i checked both Modes and didn’t know the diff. One read 2:36 and I think the other lb mode said 2: space which I was thinking was a 0 then a 5 and then a fraction. So it seems like 2.05 and 3/4??

I Bought a 100lb
Electro Samson scale and it worked for a short time, then nothing. The Tare on mine never worked, nor did the zero function. They're really flaky
so make sure when and if you buy one, that you test it to make sure it does what this video shows it will do. Mine never did. Send it back before your one month trial or you're screwed.

Anyone had any luck getting the original hook off the bottom? It's not bendable at all.

Man I wish you'd leave the scale straight up and down so we could see the numbers. When you turn it down it all goes dark.
Other than that good review. Do you know is there any difference (besides color) with the Grey one compared to the dark blue ones?

Absolutely NOT water proof. Bought one, used it on two trips, got it wet... DONE! Not a great quality for a fish scale.

22lb scale gotta be more accurate! Why do they use 55lb in bassfishing!? :)

While I agree it is a deadly accurate scale, it has two major flaws. 1. It's not waterproof. 2. No lighting. I dont want to come off as a snob, but at that price point, it's a dealbreaker. There are plenty of good scales on the market for half the price. Of course this is just my opinion. I can't help but wonder what the price would have been if it wasn't being featured as the "official" scale of MLF. Great video.
