How to Calculate Inductive Reactance & Impedance for a Resistor & an Inductor connected in Series Q1

In this video we look at how to calculate resistance and impedance for a resistor and an inductor connected in series or what's known as an RL series circuit, which is a way of representing the behaviour of a coil. We also demonstrate how to draw an impedance triangle to scale, calculate current and voltages within the circuit and find the true power.

I pulled this up as a refresher since it’s been about 10 years since I had my EE course where this was covered this. I must say, I don’t remember it ever being taught to me in the form of drawing out the actual triangle. That was a nice touch to really explain things visually. I just remember punching it into my ti89 and getting (123<23*) and writing it down only partially knowing what that meant.
