Brendan is really pulling from deep in himself for this role. I can't imagine the pain, abandonment, shame and distrust he went through when he was assaulted by Phillip Berk, the former Golden Globe president. His pain shows in this performance. Brendan is the strongest and bravest, because he is a sensitive introvert who never did anything to anyone. He is such a nice guy and a great actor.

I just watched the movie 5 days ago. I walked out of the theater, immediately got on my phone and purchased tickets for this coming weekend and the next. This is one hell of a film, and Frasier's performance is utterly mesmerizing. I truly felt that I wasn't watching Brenden in a fat suit, but a kind hearted man named Charlie who is doing his best to reconcile his mistakes. All of this while battling his worst enemy...himself.

Brendan Fraser makes 'a comeback'. Even so, it wasn't as though he left. From looks of it, it literally seems he put all of himself into this role, a commitment of the actor. Incredible, commitment. Hopefully he wins an award(s), as he did more than work hard, he did so much it seems to change his physical body, to carry the weight and to depict the story of any individual who has experienced life, a journey as in that, with either comforting eating or genetics. Bravo, 👏.
