Love how this give up screen is very different compared to what we did have. We used to have something that involves pressing that key before the 10 seconds was up, mostly 5 seconds (if we can involve the Knuckles give up in NBR), then you get the qte gives ups that was in FN, and now we get a chance to press it anytime (even if it's still ten seconds) before Exetior catches one of the three he's after. The fact that Tails was looking back actually fits in this give up since he is running away from Exetior. Keep it up with the progress, I wish the best for you to finish this fun project! I'm sure everyone will enjoy it since you have improved so much!

Recreating the original tails run sequence from hide and seek in the style of the give up screen is a really nice touch.
Implying that despite losing, it doesn't mean that you gave up unless you wanted to.
You (mostly) control their fate to change the outcome of their future.
I'm very interested in what would the concept of the NB23 would give us.
