Oh no. Starr County was featured on a news report from NPR in collaboration with ProPublica. For the first time in over 180 years, the county voted R instead of D. Primarily Latinos, they voted for the same party that plans to round them up. The rationale for voting for trump was that “illegals” got in the “wrong way, ” while they and their families entered the US “the right way.” I heard this and screamed inside, “They don’t care! I live in Texas and there is a large Latino community in Texas. But my Latino neighbors that have been here for a while don’t care. They don’t care about relatives or friends getting deported. One stated send them back, they should have fixed their papers.
