I made that mistake visiting the city. By the time I was aware that I was heading the wrong direction; I was in quite the run down neighborhood. I wasn't smart enough to know I screwed up. A few blocks in a young black man in a hoodie inquired as to where I was headed. I told him, and he pointed out that it was in the other direction. He then offered to walk me; as he put it, "You aren't really safe here." He walked me blocks and blocks out of Bed-sty until we got to wherever "the border" was, and told me to have a good, and safe, trip. Such a nice young man. After I got home, I looked up the information about where I had been lost. YIKES there should be least I had a guardian angel. Bless you, Sir!

As a NYC native, this murder mystery was prevalent in the newspapers despite what occurred that dreadful day on 9-11-2001 that required 24/7 coverage. I pray the NYPD can find a link to the scene. My condolences to the family of the late Henry Siwak. I pray the family get justice.

So insane to think that on the night of the craziest thing to happen in our lifetimes these gang members would still be out there shooting innocent people. Many of them probably didn’t even care what had just happened in lower Manhattan as they cannot relate to anything outside their bubble which probably consisted of a few blocks.

Thank you for not giving up on this case.

This man's fate is proof positive that the American dream well and truly died that day. Can you imagine moving to America, getting your first job and then getting lost on the train on the way there, and getting murdered for it, and having your pleas for help ignored leaving you to die alone on a sidewalk? May his murderer be found, but may we all feel the weight of his death.

This is so nuts, I remember reading about this a few years ago.. It's so haunting, like the Dr. Sneha Phillips case. Two very sad and mysterious things that happened in tandem with 9/11.

This is probably the only time the police saying “we’re busy with other things” is actually justifiable.

This is gang related, nobody’s going to come forth with info. Sad that they just killed him just for being lost and ending up in “Their turf.” World can be a cold place.

It's so weird, how unlucky he just got off at the wrong stop. I was just a kid then and went to school, but imagine doing regular jobs like working at a grocery store and having to go to work that night like everything's normal

Just like the Sneha case. She went missing in nyc the day before 9/11. Felt like criminals had a cover-up for their crimes because of the 9/11 attacks.

Nobody in this country should have to worry about being murdered just because they get off at the wrong stop. If that’s the case the buses should not run to those areas and the military should be called in to take care of it. That tells me the country is under siege in that area and work needs to be done to stop it. Hearing people say oh he got off in a bad area. What does that mean? If it’s that bad, then do something about it. Letting people get away with murder under the guys of bad area is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was not the only murder that happened in New York on 9/11.

So very sad. My great grandmother on my fathers side was 100% polish & came here during mid to late 1930s. I hope some way, some how they manage to solve this cold case.

I was in DC on 9/11. All trains, commerce, activity came to a halt for days. Really surprised it wasn't the same in NYC. Amidst all the chaos, the subway is still running and they having "orientation day" at work late that same night??

As a European the idea of getting off at the wrong station meaning you are in danger of getting killed is completely alien.

Poor man, if it hadn't been on this particular day his death would have been investigated properly . Sad end .no one has the right to end another's life 😢

Guy picked the wrong day to be murdered. I remember hearing about this 10-15 years ago wondering how many other people died in NYC aside from the twin towers that day. Hopefully some day we'll at least get closure for his family and friends, though as time passes, it becomes less and less likely.

Its weird to me that there is a neighborhood inside a city like nyc where even cops can't just walk around safely. Like how does that work, do they attack cops or shoot at them? How is it possible that a man gets of at the wrong stop and it cost him his life...
