If im not mistaken. I could be wrong. Based off of polynomail root theorm since the remainder does not equal 0. Its not a root. And if im also not mistaken again. The quoitent is the slant asymtote. And the remainder would be f(that number) if it was synthetic division. Finally, its been a little, but i think you are leading us to the use of L hopitals rule. As its use is not only to find holes but also for infinity over infinity. I cant remeber its been so long
