The track features special guests Dan Sultan, Emma Councillor - Donovan, Natalie Pa'apa'a, Archie Roach, Bart Willoughby, Amy Saunders, Myra Howard as well as the APY Lands Choir singing the Pitjantjatjara translation by Trevor Adamson and Ruby James.

Shane's song as relevant as ever it was. Black and white. We are all stronger now for the reconciliation work paved by artists in Australia in the '80's. Great work Shane.

I am an admirer of Shane Howard's sister's music.
Marcia Howard.
First album from Marcia called : Butterfly 🦋 is sublime.
Croony and cleverly composed. I love listening to it.
As I do her second album: Poison Tree.
Song writing talents abounds in the Howard siblings.
Damian Howard (brother) is also very musically wholesome.
It is awe inspiring.

So inspiring and uplifting - a timeless classic. Such glorious music can only flow from someone whose heart is connected with the sacred ground at the bottom of everything. Thank you Uluru. Thank you Shane.

What a fantastic version! Takes some of the bitter taste out of my mouth from the NO result in the referendum last month

Goosebumps all down my arms and my legs and a sorrow in my heart. Tears in my eyes but they’re thankful tears that these people and their culture still lives, despite what my ancestors did to try to stamp it out. I am beyond ashamed of my white washed white culture.

Out here nothin′ changes, not in a hurry anyway
You can feel the endlessness, with the comin' of the light o′ day
We're talkin' ′bout a chosen place
You wanna sell it in a marketplace? Well
Well just a minute now
You′re standin' on solid rock
You′re standin' on sacred ground
You′re livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Are blowin′ down the line
Right down the line
Well, round about the dawn of time
The dreaming all began
The crowd of people came
Well, they were lookin' for their promised land
We're runnin′ from the heart o′ darkness
And searchin' for the heart o′ light
But it was their paradise
Well, they were standin' on solid rock
They′re standin' on sacred ground
They′re livin' on borrowed time
And the winds of change
Were blowing cold that night, oh
No!
Well, they were standin' on the shore one day
They saw the white sails in the sun
It wasn′t long before they felt the sting
White man, white law, white gun
Don′t tell me that it's justified
′Cause somewhere, well, someone lied
It's hard enough just to survive
We′re trying to get stronger, yeah
