The Son of Man in the Book of Enoch - 119 Ministries

1 Enoch, more popularly known as the Book of Enoch, is quite a popular extra-biblical book. But there is a questionable statement naming Enoch as a messianic figure known as the Son of Man in chapter 71. We look at this debate and the implications it may have on how much authority we should give the Book of Enoch.

As i rose in the morning to pray, before the coming of the sun, i heard the Voice of the Lord say unto me, "Son of man, close thine eyes and listen". I could hear the morning birds singing over the turning leaves of the branch they perched upon. And the Voice said unto me open thine eyes and tell me what thou seest". And there sat an empty couriers box made of cedar. And  He said unto ke, "He box is empty but the messge is full. Though the couriers duties never tardy, the box is sealed by the arrogance of those not wanting.
And the Voice of the LORD spoke and said, " Go to the West". And there i came upon a stream with no name, which bordered the land seperating East and West. To the North was a hill with a hole, which fed the stream. As i peered into it, i saw a faint light from the end of its darkness, knowing now its a tunnel, seeing not the other side. And while standing on the South side of the hill, i was shown that of the North. Andni beheld a herd of livestock grazing a field of golden grain. And facing East was a loft, simple, yet pleasing in its peacefulness. And i said, surely this is a gift to see. And the Lord said, "Many  will go to the waters and aproach the door of the mount, but the unkown darkness do they not enter for their trust is in their eyes and not of Me."

Charles translated Enoch in 1912 with parts missing, correct? Wasn't the book of Enoch found amongst the dead sea scrolls in 1947? Would that copy show the missing parts and the final translation?

So Enoch 70 is in 3rd person and Enoch 71 is in 2nd person?

Incorrect. The Book of Enoch is not in conflict because the 'son of man' is not a person as much as it is a 'door' to a relationship with the Father. Jesus always refers to the son of man in the 3rd person, always using the word 'the'.

Notice in Numbers 23:19 it says that the son of man needs to repent. When Ezekiel is called, the Lord says to 'stand' and He will speak, then Ezekiel says that the spirit entered him and stood him on his feet - THEN he could hear the Lord speaking. Even in the Book of Daniel (chapter 7) he says one like 'a' son of man.

I sense the "calendar" is behind these Enoch vids by 119 Ministries...in which case, I would recommend putting less emphasis on the "low hanging fruit" of trying to discredit the Book of Enoch 1 on a whole on account of the parables/etc (which I do agree, parts have likely been tweaked/etc over the years), and focusing on the Luminary Sections of Enoch 1. Even 119 Ministries 1st video "Testing the Book of Enoch" with 200k views had a section where it admitted most of the Book of Enoch 1 was tweaked/etc over the years "POSSIBLY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LUMINARY CHAPTERS". In addition, the section quoted is Jude is obviously talking about a writing "of the prophet Enoch"...not a quote from "the Book of Enoch 1"...Jude says, "ENOCH" said the following...not "Enoch 1" says the following. So in summary, I would recommend to 119 Ministries (and all Truth Seekers) to dig into the Luminary Sections of Enoch 1...I invite loving discussion on this...but I do believe it hold some answers to understanding our Creator's Set Times and/or Clock...and/or "calendar" as so many like to call it. One thing Enoch 1 exposes is the difference between "solar months" and "lunar months"...and 119 Ministries still adheres to the "jewish tradition" of lunar months...the Scriptures mention anything about a year cycle with 13 months (read Revelation...Tree of Life only had 12 fruits for the 12 months...in the Kings/Chronicles it talks about the King having 12 different guards for the year, etc)...and if you haven't discovered this yet...there is an extremely popular mistranslation when you read the phrase "In the new moons" in the Scriptures...see for yourself ...the phrase should be translated as "in the new MONTHS" (there are 2 completely separate and unrelated words in the original language for "moon" and "month", and it is the word for "MONTH" that we see in the ordinal Scriptures...but again, it is a very very common translational bias to render this phrase as "in the new moons"...steeped in the traditions of the jews. I love 119, but have to disagree on this teaching. I know they are talking about the passage 71:14, but Enoch was found with the Dead Sea Scrolls.
I don’t know what they think about other things in the book, but Enoch explains how the heavens work and how the sun, moon and stars go around us and not the opposite. And we are under a dome. You can see it if Yah opens eyes. The Bible even says this about the earth. We don’t see anything unless He shows us. I haven’t read 2 or 3 Enoch, but I have heard that they are not sure about those two books. We know that the Bible has been translated. The catholics put our Bible together and there are messed up things in it, especially in the NT. They took books out because they didn’t think it should be in there. Those taken out books, well, they fill in a whole lot of the rest of the story to where you get the picture. I believe that the Bible is a whole lot bigger than what it is now. But, if we want truth, we will search with a humble heart and remember that the tells us, at least twice, that we are stupid and that is the exact word that I read.🤷‍♀️ The word “Lord” was not in there . His Name has been taken out I don’t know how many times and has Lord inserted. They make it sound like Yahusha are Passover with the disciples, when He didnt . He was already in the grave at the time the meal was. He ate the so called Last Supper with them. They also in the KJV say easter. And there are other things. But He didn’t let it get so mistranslated, but there things. I do believe that this book IS for the end times and tells a lot of truth. I also believe these people are in trouble because He says that whoever adds or subtracts from the words of this prophecy will have plagues and no right to the tree of life. Yes, He knew already. So they did exactly that.

If you want to properly debunk the book of Enoch, then I suggest you buy the book “Judgment of the Nephilim” by Ryan Pitterson. He has an entire chapter that debunks 1 Enoch and Jasher.

The kingdom of god is the expression of Jehovah's universal sovereignty toward his creatures, or the means used by him to express the manifestation of god's sovereignty through the royal government headed by his son. Jesus "kingdom" may refer to the ridership of the one anointed king or to the earthly realm ruled by that Heavenly government. Thank you god bless you. Amen
