This series of live streams features several Moog One sound designers deep diving into the work flow of the Moog One.

Part 2: GARY HULL

Gary possesses the brains of a thousand men (in jars), and has the ability to play the unplayable, fix the unfixable, solve the unsolvable, and leap small emus in a single bound. He is also Senior Analog Designer at Universal Audio.

Gary is joined by Chris Howe, Moog Engineer.

I am loving Gary's enthusiasm and joyful tone while talking about this synth. The knowledge he drops while describing his patches makes me wish I could take a weekly synthesis/sound design course lead by him.

Moog One is one of the nicest synths Moog has ever produced. I wish I had the money now, must start saving right away.

Gary Hull is such a genuine guy! You can tell he just loves sound and has a teacher's heart. Thank you for walking us through some of your patches. Inspiring stuff, Gary! I'd love to hear you on the Moog System 55!

Hours of super interesting material recently. Thank you moog. This thing looks and sounds like a champion.

Have you showed the internal eventide blackhole reverb somewhere in your presentations? I cant find it, too much content.

I appreciate all the info, but it would be really nice if you guys did a video just showing off all the tonal variations. How about a vast sampling of all the varied presets already created?

OK, the modulation of the waveform seems to be what was missing for me in the first demos. I think an older synth like the MemoryMoog did some of this "by accident" which gave it a lot of character. Now it is clear that these types of sounds are definitely here, you just need to do them intentionally!

Series is great - thanks for making these! Is there a way to set the mini-scopes on the oscillators to show the modulation affecting them? Looks like it's pre-mod in the video.

i can’t wait for a stand off between the prophet 6 and moog one. i’m maybe going to try keeping my korg poly six and sequential prophet 6 until i get the moog one so we can make some comparison videos. genuine vintage poly analogue, modern analogue poly dco, and moog one (which i suspect is in a class of its own).

effects: tape saturation, eq, lo fi, reverse, compression, tape warble and hiss... things to make it sound old.... i know it seems weird to say, but adding environment and mood to a performance is huge, so.... i’d love to see these kinds of effects without delay times. immediate effects.

Will it eventually be available with a different finish? I've never really been a fan of the wood. Well, at least not when it is natural looking.

Are all effects STEREO IN? Since panning per voice is a great feature on polys, I wouldn’t want to lose it when entering the effects. Thanks!

How many effects can you chain together?
