Hurricane Ida Set to Rapidly Intensify Tomorrow

Hurricane Ida is currently coming off of Western Cuba, as of now it is a Category 1 hurricane with winds around 80mph, with a pressure of 985mb. The current expectation is that Ida will reach Category 3 intensity over the day tomorrow, then continue intensification until around landfall time late on Sunday as a Category 4 hurricane. Mandatory evacuations are in place for some areas along the coastline, it is recommended that residents within those evacuation orders heed them. Ida will likely bring catastrophic impacts, ranging from extreme winds, life-threatening storm surge, very heavy rainfall, and much more.
