ESO Crashes Upon Launch | 2024 Potential Fix Guide | The Elder Scrolls® Online Crash FIXED

The Elder Scrolls® Online crashes after hitting the Play button? Here's what fixed it for me and may fix it for you!

After verifying/repairing the game files, re-installing the game 3 times and updating the drivers it still was crashing. So keep in mind that I had the latest drivers and a clean install of the game in the end when I could run it.

Closing the Riva Tuner and MSI Afterburner from tray fixed the problem for me. If you don't have these apps installed, it may be something else on your system which is interfering with the game: overlay apps or other soft which try to read game data. Close all the unnecessary apps before running the game and delete the junk soft you don't use, hopefully you'll get it fixed!

Thank you! You haver done what customer service could not! Thank you so much! I haven't been able to play in 5 days. I've been asking the community, doing google searchs, following a whole bunch of things and nothing worked. It was a stupid ap I used for streaming that was causing me to crash a minute into playing the game. I have litterally done anything and everything I could to the point of harassing customer service.

OMG i turned off only riva tuner during my debugging a few months ago. been relying on my old rig all this time. this solved it thanks man. Jeez zos literally tried everything with you on that chat session.

For me it crashes / freezes after the login screen the little eso logo doesn’t spin and it gets stuck and locks my screen where I need to force shut down and usually works the second time. Can’t figure out a fix
