Got both but prefer the spikeless shoes myself only use the spiked shoes during very wet conditions.

Spiked, even dry courses can prove to be slippy, spikes give you the extra oomph to your whole swing sequence and follow through and you feel well balanced throughout imho, now let’s debate uneven tee boxes 🤔

golf shoes now only have the rubber cleats or spike-less. steel spikes have been outlawed since the pee wee league and junior high stop using them. i don't believe even the professional sports wear them now.

Can I ask a question that might sound stupid to someone. I am just starting golfing. Do I need to buy special shoes at all? And if so why?

Golfers are not using spikes the same way usain bolt uses them, this example was dumb, they were better off not saying anything at all 😂
