My first punk show ever! UK Subs, Exploited and Raging Woodies at Villa Fontana San Antonio TX! I was totally into metal at the time & a flyer convinced me to go see this show in 1981 (?could have been 82). My metal friend & I went up to the stage and headbanged for Exploited! Didn't know any better! Wattie was angrily swinging the mike at us so we had to dodge! We only saw part of UK Subs since we were a bit scared of the punks by then! Converted to punk that night!

Their drummer came into the restaurant I work at in Northern California, I'm glad he did because before today I had no idea who these guys were, I'm digging this song, plus the guy was super nice.

Glad to see Charlie still alive and rocking.Saw them so many times since the 80ties...can't remember, too many beers. Even played Table Football once in Freiburg with Nicky Garratt in the Backstage(Atlantic).Nicky and me lost against the others, was great fun, Nicky went on reading his book...too many stories anyway, ...UK Subs are still one of my favorite bands.

The guitarists silly rock god guitar poses has never fitted into the Subs legacy, but I've only been going to see them for 40 + years so what would I know? (I tried to get to the magic number of 100UK SUBS gigs but missed it by about 10 which is my fault for getting into Tekno and Jungle which tore a hole into my going out money and I couldn't afford both very often.
this is just my opinion btw.
