A perfect, common sense, and very concise summary. Dan Snow is articulate enough to be called a genius. And he is a nice guy.

So, Dan Snow explains, in two minutes, what real historians have been debating for almost a century. Blimey, he must be good.

First World War was anything but the result of the improvident superficiality of European governments, but the necessary outcome of the structural crisis of the capitalist mode of production and the conscious showdown between imperialist states in the face of the crisis of hegemonic power.

WW1 was a result from the crisis of the capitalist mode of production, which had given rise to the phenomenon of imperialism and the increasing struggle between the major capitalist powers for the conquest of markets for goods and capital, and for the control of sources of raw materials. In particular, British hegemony was failing due to the decline of the British economy in favour of new industrial powers.
Germany become respectively, among the industrial countries, first and second place, overtaking Britain and France. But while Britain and France possessed vast colonial empires and the US had a colossal domestic market, Germany, small and devoid of colonies, needed to secure a market outlet for its goods or risk a disastrous resolution of the contradiction between the enormous potential of its industry and market outlets.
The second world war too it was a continuation of the first world war

The USA "was dragged in"?

Understatement of the year.

The USA's industrial might supplying the Allies is what tipped the European balance of power -- TWICE -- in the 20th Century.

Even today, the US's burden of paying for most of NATO's deterrence costs are subsidizing the standard of living of most Europeans as they don't have to spend more of their GDP on their own militaries. Instead, they have free/low cost healthcare, education, and modern transit. Also, see: Japan.

The Marshall Plan is still being carried out to Europe's benefit through this huge, indirect military budget subsidy.

You still have not explained how a whole world war broke out because
of one assassination.

and re-set the chess board for WWII after a breather .... thanks to Swiss and Dutch for letting Germany use their turf for re-arming and bank shenanigans.

Dude, wtf are you talking about? Please, read history books first, then go and talk about the war, and enemies.... and allies.
