Leder Games and Cole Wehrle Announce the Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile Board Game

Leder Games and Cole Wehrle had a major success last year with Root and now they're announcing Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile. It's Cole's take on the Legacy game genre and will feature art by Kyle Ferrin as well.

I think Cole says that Oath is more strategic than Pax Pamir 2e because of how quickly new cards enter Pax Pamir's market and how quickly the cards can change the game state before you get another turn. This requires more tactical decision making to manage the game state you've been presented with vs being able to build momentum towards a strategic plan. Whereas, in Oath, the game state receives more influence from player actions vs new cards entering the game and affecting the game state.
