Driving Up Mt Washington NH

*I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training*

I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.

Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for reigniting some memories. I took my mom to the top back in the mid nineties. She left this world August 8th, 2023. R.I.P mom.

It’s been decades since I went up the Mount Washington Auto Road. It is a terrifying and stunningly beautiful experience.
Thank you for allowing me to relive the beauty without the scary! 🤗

As a teenager our family summited Mt. Washington on all three modes of transport; auto road, hiking and cog railway. My Dad and I hiked the AT and stayed in the Presidential Range huts. Stared off in the Dolly Copp campground and spent a week on the summits. I am 63 and I’ll never forget that trip.

I really miss The Old Man Of The Mountain. However NH has a great show of the foliage change. Fall time is a great time to take a ride thru on a sunny day. Thank you for showing off our beautiful state.

I'm a 3-time visitor to the summit of Mt. Washington, twice by auto and once by Cog Railway. The first auto trip was with my dad in the early 60's as a passenger in his 1960 VW Beatle. The aircooled engine meant never having to worry about overheating! The second auto trip in the early 70's was a bit more of an adventure. Driving my future wife, my brakes faded on the trip down. The only way I was able to stop was by rolling up a short incline at a turnout on the opposite side of the road. The two German hikers we had given a ride to probably wished they hiked down instead!

I really enjoyed this! My husband and I drove this road 2 times in the past. The road has definitely improved now. Back then, there were a few sections of dirt road that was crumbling away and super scary to pass a vehicle. With my husbands driving, I was terrified! lol! I have to say....just watching this video gave me anxiety again! I hate heights, but it was so worth it! It is beautiful!! Thanks for taking me back to Mt. Washington while in the safety of my home!! Also....I'm glad to see that they still at least give you a bumper sticker! They also used to give you a CD to play on the way up explaining the history of Mt. Washington.

Cool, my 9 year old daughter and I love your video's! We have been watching all the older vids of you camping in culverts. Tents, and even pallets! Now time to watch this video! Thank you Post 10!

Thank you for this great ride. Drove the road in 1972 and 1996.
I will go up and down with you as I have lost my nerve to do it by myself again! I wish you safe travels.

If you do any more of these drives, it might be interesting to have Camera 2 as an inlay (like you do on your clearance videos) with it pointing out over the view in a side window or mounted on the roof.

My father led climbing tours up this mountain during his summer breaks in
College and we went up in a provided car with driver in 1953 when the road was gravel! I closed my eyes half the time….THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS…..IT BROUGHT BACK MANY MEMORIES,
