I assumed Dennis would have passed away due to some form of cancer due to smoking all his life.Still a tragic ending to a wonderful career.I think my favourite show would have to be Minder with that other great actor George Cole.They were wonderful together and the scrapes they git into was first class.R.I.P. End of an era, a fantastic era he was at his best with George Cole in minder, I'm assuming he died so young due to smoking, all sympathies to his family and friends 😢

I was in my teens when I watched the sweeney and minder they were great programmes to watch into my adulthood I feel like a part of me is missing due to Dennis watermans untimely death he died way too soon. He's irreplaceable in the acting world. R.i.p. Dennis you're a wonderful actor.

What was his illness? Isnt that the title. I believe it was lung cancer. Great man. You only realise how much a part of your childhood or life they were when they pass.
