Have you tried a Kramer sm-1? The new ones? I dont think they can be beaten for the price. A floyd 1000, Seymour duncan JB and Cool rails, ebony fretboard, 5 way switch etc

How do you feel this guitar would do switching the Floyd Special for a Floyd Original and switching the pickups to a set of DiMarzio D Activator X's? I have no experience with poplar body guitars, so I don't know if it would sound too bright.

Hey whats up! This is great. Do u think the pickups are as good as the Seymour Duncan JB ? Or do u think it should be changed? I don't necessarily change stock pickups if they are decent.
