(ENG/D) The installation “Rhythms of Heaven” tells a story about the harmonious and subtle interplay of celestial bodies through movement, sound and light.

“Rhythms of Heaven” is a kinetic audiovisual installation that uses light to provide a glimpse into the intricate yet beautiful system of the universe. The installation was inspired by an ancient instrument used by astronomers – the armillary sphere. An armillary sphere is a three-dimensional model used to depict and study the movement of celestial bodies. The installation consists of several interconnected, moving rings of light, each of which represents the dynamics of the movement of celestial bodies and their orbits. The installation was complemented by an audio track created by sound director Pēteris Pāss.

Die Installation „Rhythms of Heaven“ erzählt eine Geschichte über das harmonische und subtile Zusammenspiel von Himmelskörpern mithilfe von Bewegung, Klang und Licht.

„Rhythms of Heaven“ ist eine kinetische audiovisuelle Installation, die mit Hilfe von Licht einen Blick in das komplizierte und doch wunderschöne System des Universums ermöglicht. Die Installation wurde inspiriert von einem alten Instrument der Astronomen – der Armillarsphäre. Eine Armillarsphäre ist ein dreidimensionales Modell zur Darstellung und Untersuchung der Bewegung von Himmelskörpern. Die Installation besteht aus mehreren miteinander verbundenen, sich bewegenden Lichtringen, die jeweils die Dynamik der Bewegung von Himmelskörpern und ihrer Umlaufbahnen darstellen. Ergänzt wurde die Installation durch eine Audiospur, die vom Soundregisseur Pēteris Pāss erstellt wurde.
