Lil Woody Doubles Down on YSL Not Being a Gang: It's a Record Label

Kenneth "Lil Woody" Copeland explained to the court on Tuesday that YSL is not a gang but a record label. Copeland told prosecutor Simone Hylton why YSL is not considered a gang. When asked if he was ever signed to YSL, Woody replied, "Ya'll keep locking me up!"

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
