I'm dedicating this to Keeva, our 12 year old Amstaff/Boxer mix that died last Sunday, June 26th. We'd been treating her for arthritis in her back legs from surgeries when she was a young dog. But apparently all along there was bone cancer eating her front legs. She jumped off the couch to meet mom and let out a scream I won't forget for a long time. I snatched her up and laid her back on the couch as she was favoring her left leg and crying.
We took her to the Emergency Vet and later they gave us the bad news. A broken leg in 2 places, and hardly any real bone remaining in her leg. Even had we agreed to an amputation, they said with that cancer she would only get about another year and be in pain almost all of it.
She was such a good dog her whole life, her motto was; "All people exist solely to pet me." She loved belly rubs, walkiez, and chasing the ball or bubbles. Her face was brown and white with black fur around her eyes just like eyeliner. We are going to miss her so much. I love you Baby Dog. We'll watch the videos and pictures and sing of your times.
