The people had a craving for a no nonsense Rock and Roll that was hard and fast. But with finesse and class. Each player of virtuoso. No other band of the time filled that void like Deep Purple in their progression. (well in my opinion)

Its mo deep purple album, cause the soul of the band blackmore were gone, hughes and bolin were drug accdieted, their rotten live destroyed an great band, glen hughes is to this day for me the most unaccetibal member of deep purple, blackmore was right, funky shoe shine music, to funk to more his blues shit music, lord and paice finally had enough, quit the band for good, coverdale infact did an great interaction between lord and him giving whitesnake until 1984 great rocking tracks, this was good not an drughead type of music
