I learned a password trick from my dad years ago. Take your favorite verse from a song and use the first letter in each word and add a number with it. When it’s typed out it looks like a jumbled mess but when you need to remember it all you do is sing the song in your head.

Long passwords are better but a very important thing is never keep the password your stuff comes ( modem, gateway, switches, routers etc.... ) . Being familiar with your devices that access / use your network helps as well, periodically sign in to your network as admin & check if any unfamiliar devices are accessing your network

Another tip is to add device auth to your network. Most routers have this built-in these days. It will require you to manually approve each device joining your network. Also only turn on SSID broadcasting when you need it.

Every digit you add multiplies the time it take to guess by around 50 if letters and symbols are added so if you had five digits and lets say it takes you a second to count 1 digit at a time. It would take you 6, 250, 000 seconds or 72.33 days straight to count all digits in a 5 digits. A computer can count much faster, probably more than 1 to 10 million times faster, I could be underestimating. So a 5 digit code would be cracked pretty fast by a computer. Making a password with 30 characters would take a lifetime to crack with the available computer hardware we have on a commercial scale right now.
