WESTLAKE DISTRICT - Several residents in a Westlake District apartment building woke up to a watery mess after a something began flooding the building. Firefighters were called to the 609 block of South Lucas Street just before 11:00 PM. That is when they found a large amount of water flooding at least two apartments and two floors. Crews are still in the building working to push out the water. Firefighters were able to shut down the source of the water about an hour later. Two residents renting a room from AirBnB can be seen in distraught and did not want to two on camera. It is unclear if they will have to relocate. The cause of the leak is unknown.
