Imagine what you were doing when you were 18 . This kid had already written 28 symphonies before this one . He was 18 when he wrote this …let that sink in 🤯

_"Astounding! It was actually, it was beyond belief. These were first and only drafts of music, but they showed no corrections of any kind. Not one. He had simply written down music already finished in his head! Page after page of it as if he were just taking dictation. And music, finished as no music is ever finished. Displace one note and there would be diminishment. Displace one phrase and the structure would fall. It was clear to me that sound I had heard in the Archbishop's palace had been no accident. Here again was the very Voice of God! I was staring through the cage of those meticulous ink-strokes at an absolute beauty."_

My favorite classical piece of all-time

A superb illustration of what a chamber orchestra can do..the players are listening to each other (there is no conductor). That is how they build this harmonious miracle.

I love chamber orchestras. The strings, in particular, sound very different than in a full orchestra. You can now hear the individual instruments rather than a wall of sound. Beautiful.

The genius of classical music lies in its ability to evoke profound emotions without uttering a single word. From the soaring heights of joy in Vivaldi's 'Spring' to the melancholic depths of Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata, ' every piece tells a story that resonates across generations, making classical music a timeless and universal language.

Oh, this is the most incredible beauty I've ever heard in my life. This is music to enter paradise with, playing in the background. Flawlessly performed, pure magnificence. I'm glad I got this experience before I die. Amazing joy. Incredible.

UPDATE: I just realized that - I listened to this entire concert and there were NO ADS interrupting. I'm not a paid YouTuber, so does this mean that someone has actually listened to complaints about that practice? Seems almost too good to be true, but for the record - thank you.

Like listening with new ears! I especially liked the lively tempo of the final movement. This piece is perhaps Mozart's first masterpiece of a symphony and it is so filled with clever surprises, like the abrupt ending of the minuet. There is a little touch of Haydnesque humor in all of this. Ik geniet van al je optredens! Wat een schat!

Not only the performance is amazing and perfect, the recording is also crystal clear! This has to be one of the best Mozart No 29!

Listening to this beautiful performance during my country's lockdown. No halls open, no concerts anywhere so thank God for You Tube in raising my spirits during this dreadful time and let us hope for a time when we can attend events like this in person again.

Noticed how many Dutch orchestra’s performances of great works from composers like Mozart, Bach or Beethoven tend to be of high quality?
