i just had my throwback to the fantastic “Ghost of Tsushima” which is one of my favorite games of all time.

Oh my gosh. I am actually a fan of several Japanese Tokusatsu shows and I just realized that several samurai-based forms in some Tokusatsu series have the armor able to be displayed on its own which might be a reference to this practice. That's definitely a fun detail!
