Nice one man. I have a hide off of a big boar I killed a few years ago that I dried with the hair on. I got it out the other day and plan on making a drum with it. It should make a good one if I do it right. I would assume our European ancestors used boar hides quite regularly for their drum making being that wild pigs were a very common food source for them.

Yes absolutely, I'd love to learn more about trance. I don't think our beliefs 100% line up with one another's but I'd say they're in much the same realm. I did a meditation ritual today aside a spell to pull strength and empowerment from the cold climate I live in and it was the most amazing feeling. I'd love to get into a trance and feel a similar thing for often with means other than solely breath control and sigil magic

I will purchase the book
Would tapping your chest work to get you in trance?
Thanks

Great video! Thanks for demonstrating how a stave works. I have never seen that before. Definitely think I would use the gand (?) with it myself.

Anything about seidr would be wonderful, especially ritual objects. I am slowly working through Ivy Mulligan’s book and Trance-portation. I have been involved with other traditions before being contacted by an ancestor to go in this direction - so a lot of what I am trying to learn is about what makes these traditions different from other shamanic or animistic cultures.

One of my major problems is believing what I hear and see.

no historical/ archaeological finds of drums in old germanic /norse culture, unless you go into Saami territory. But lots of staves.

as a longtime Volva/Seidkonna and Core Shaman, I really disagree with your beats per second teaching. I've never beat a drum or stav that fast to travel to the Otherworld. I've always had a slower beat traveling to and within, and then a faster beat returning.
