GCSEs are now officially starting in 100 days so it’s time to start revising! Here’s my plan to success!

One great tip I heard that I'd like to add is relying on the syllabus/specification heavily instead of textbooks. Treat the bullet points on there like the question and study the answers basically. I realised that for subjects like chemistry there is so much info in the book that you won't be tested on. Like a chapter might contain 30 pages in your textbook but in the syllabus they only ask you to cover a few number of points from that topic. For me studying from the textbook was too much but the notes my teacher gave simply weren't enough, however the syllabus was a perfect guide on what to & how much to study and where to start. Really helps you give priority to the important things and not memorise unnecessary stuff. Also try analysing the type of questions asked about a certain topic before studying it to give you an idea or imagine the questions in your head

I haven’t really made that many flash cards up until now, so I’m planning on going through the content starting today (since there’s topics my teachers never covered) and making flash cards on them. Kind of stressed that I didn’t do this before and that I won’t have enough time to make flashcards for my subjects and study them but hopefully it works out! 😅

Advise from Yr12 student about Cognito:

A lot of Cognito’s videos in Science gives you extra knowledge that you don’t need at GCSE’s which you learn at A level, e.g the induced fit model (for AQA), so make sure to check your spec b4 learning info.

i'm a private student who left the uk in 2020 and returned after i was supposed to sit my gcse's

ive had to start from scratch on the core subjects, i rlly hope i can do everything in time, especially the core subjects

Update, i recently found out how easy English can be if i actually put my mind into it, so now I'm not as worried about it, although I'd still consider it my weakest subject but I know for a certain that I'll improve in this mock


Same with all the other mocks now that I'm revising (at the cost of video games, haven't played in roughly 3 days)

I am about to Give JEE mains in April and Jee Advance in June. I think I can feel the pressure of students preparing for GCSE exam. NO TIME TO WASTE GUYS. JUST STUDY STUDY STUDY, NOTHING ELSE. And yeah, keep your faith in Allah. Everybody works hard but only a few reach to the destination 📚❤️😤

This is really helpful, I hate long term revision timetables too and I find them to be useless- I’m going to stop trying to force them and just make ones for the day or week!
