inside test or odd/even test

Find a point, draw a ray from the point in any direction and if the number of intersections of that ray on the polugon is odd then that point is inside else it is even and hence outside.
The edge case remains when the point is inside and the ray just grazes a point on the polygon instead of cutting it twice because thats where two sides of the polygon are meeting. Then if you conside it only once then total count will be even and we will assume that the point is outside but in reality it is inside.

if point is inside @7:29 (according to explation of last polygon) and other ends is opposite direction then how can we know the point is even or odd?? plz explain
