Your Soviet hotel series reminds me of a hotel I stayed at in Chicago. I loved the institutional green walls, cracked linoleum flooring, fluorescent lighting, and view of the train tracks. We were lucky enough to have an ensuite bathroom/shower, but had to provide our own towels. So we picked some cheap ones up at the nearby store.
