Hamza did what the male partner needs to do in this dance, he allowed Jowita to shine.💚💚 And he did it beautifully too.!! Loved the one leg twirling from him, like a dancing pink flamingo

Watching this again, it's better than I thought first time, and I also understand the difference between the reaction of the male and female judges. Hamza is one of the strongest leads we've ever had - both in control and surprisingly physically strong. He always looks rock steady and really leading the dance. Basically, someone you'd want to dance with, and that is what is setting both Motsi and Shirley off. As they said, the reason Jowita was able to shine so much was that Hamza was so secure. But people don't observe support, they only see the 'active' one, which was why Shirley was trying to point it out in her comments.

And some of his footwork was good too. He's great at sliding his feet over the floor and treading gently in places (which so few men do), less good when his feet are in the air. And that's what the men were focussing on.

This dance always showcases the dancer being led pro or celeb.
If you watch Rose & Gio from last year for example. I agree, I definitely don’t think this was Hamzas strongest dance - but watching what Jovita can do while Hamza is supporting her with his upper and lower body, it’s incredible. Hamza for the win!

I love these two, Jowita is an incredible dancer and both Shirley & Motsi made the point that weight transference in dance is one of the hardest things to master and Hamza does it naturally. It's much harder for male celebs as they have to lead and quite often it's the female professional that's pulling them round to make them look good but that's not the case here. Hamza does lead which is why he gets the praise. I think he's naturally a little pigeon toes and if he had pointed his toes a little more when in the air it would have made a nicer line (stood out more before Jowita's feet are crazy good) but this was a very good dance despite not being his strongest. Really hope these two win x

It does help that Jowita is the best female pro dancer by a country mile though! ..or as I call her, the little pocket Rocket! Lol.. unbelievably energetic and exquisite dancer.

Argentine tango is the most difficult dance on strictly and they did a great job. Both of them could have had more connection with the floor. If they leaned forward into each other a bit more it would have been easier to brush the floor. Craig was right tonight they both need to brush the floor more with their feet. But doing that after just 1 week is beyond amazing.

Most beginner men cannot hold their own balance and once they are off balance it is impossible for the follower to move. So Hamza was beautifully grounded and he did lead the dance. There is no way he could have done those lifts or Jowita could have done her moves if Hamza was not grounded and on his axes. Amazing!!

Passion, passion, passion. Screw Craig, THIS WAS AMAZING! It had attack, intensity, power, lines. I do agree with Anton that his kicks could've been sharper and less wooden, but this dance fit the exact right feel for an Argentine tango. He lead Jowita amazingly well and I'm glad to say that is one of the best Argentine tangos I've ever seen! What is not to love about Hamza, he has amazing musicality and precision, it's sensational!
