Cancelling student debt to any extent helps the economy at large. Graduates often need to also work to get experience in the workplace and so are not necessarily walking into a well paid job at all
Any money released into the local economy where such people live is going to be spent on consumer goods and houses in the local area. This is a positive move

The immigrants going to help rebuild Florida should automatically be provided work visas and their court dates moved to Florida.

DeSantis should not have the benefit of having immigrants working to rebuild Florida and then have them deported. DeSantis has already proven he has no problem using immigrants as pawns in his bid fir president.

Residents should also be rethinking how they feel about immigrants and DeSantis stunt because they too are dependent on immigrant labor.

Side note: Americans should also have the opportunity to work to rebuild Florida for $15 an hour if they need the work.

That interview was absolutely heartbreaking. Republicans punishing people seeking asylum should be forced to endure what they go through just to make it here. I would like to see Abbott and DeSantis attempt to escape Venezuela, walk through Mexico, survive the wilderness, be robbed by cops, finally reach the border, be thrown into a deep freeze for the entertainment of a group of sickos, be lied to about where they are going, and forced to deal with our horrible immigrant legal system all to most likely be sent back.

This is the issue I was always afraid of. Because, instead of pointing out wrong is wrong, hate is hate, POOR IS POOR period, everything is put as a race issue. I'm not saying that minorities are not affected in higher numbers. But, minorities have more in common with everyone in the same financial boat, than those who look like them who are upper middle class or better. As long as the rich can keep wealth disparity as a race issue, the longer it will take to fix it and systemic racism!!!

"Replacing" Rachel Maddow would have been impossible. Alex Wagner never tried to replace Rachel, she was 100% Alex Wagner from the beginning. There is no one else quite like her either. She is sharp, knowledgeable, and clear while also bringing an honest interest and brightness to her interpersonal skills which I find very welcome in a dark time.
