We Bought Two V12 Legends For Less Than A Toyota Corolla

In the second ever Throttle House Road Trip, Thomas and James purchase two V12 legends of yore and take them on a journey across Ontario and into Quebec. Thomas has picked himself up a nearly immaculate E38 BMW 7-Series and James has found himself a less-than-immaculate Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140. They plan to answer one simple question: are the older and cheaper luxury limos actually better than their more expensive modern renditions? We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

Throttle House in it's way to become the real successor of the original Top Gear

The repair bills cost more than the cars but for the little time that they are rolling, magic.

As an E38 owner, a longtime Top Gear fan, and a "trying-to-make-it" automotive YouTuber, this episode was absolutely spot on for me! 🔥 The perfect blend of humor, insight, and driving passion—exactly what I love about Throttle House. Keep it up guys, you’re an inspiration!

Had a mint condition 1992 500SEL from 2018-2023. Used it as my prom limo my senior year and took endless road trips with it, around 35k miles added in total. That car was my pride and joy. What a machine

I swear Thomas driving around that actor with that weird small talk felt very Hammond esque 😂 god this is great. Especially right after Gears & Gasolines just wrapped up.

Damn, that ending was heartbreaking. Hope you can replace the gear ASAP. Great video, best regards, can't wait for p2!

I bought my dream e38 about two years ago. I also said I'd sell it to help fund the 911 I bought in March of this year. It's still in my garage and I absolutely cannot bring myself to let it go. It lives up to all the hype. Including but not limited to plenty of bizarre mechanical and electrical faults that pop up here and there despite a bulletproof service history. Lovely car.

Having grown-up watching Top Gear- I always find myself drawn to these kind of "Roundtrip" format videos- having a number of different iterations available.

As a Canadian- super excited to see one actually set here.

Never any short-cuts on quality- whether production, content itself, writing. Always top quality.

You guys rule. Keep it up, thank you for representing Canada so well!

I can just hear the faintest voice saying "that S600 is begging for a $12, 000 exhaust" somewhere..

You guys really should do a TV series. The genuine humour and the natural rapport are reminiscent of old Top Gear.

Really gutted about your gear getting stolen. Thanks for doing what you do. Thomas, James, and the entire production crew.

As someone who was mugged in college and had his photography gear stolen, I can't empathize with you guys enough - having the gear stolen is heartbreaking enough, but what stings even more is to lose the work (in this case, footage) that you guys put so much heart and hard work into. I'm so sorry to see this happened to you all, as it's readily obvious that you are genuine in how you produce these videos and do it out of pure love for cars. Looking forward to seeing you bounce back with more light-hearted jokes and awesome tests/journeys ahead - Happy Holidays to the entire TH family.

Ran a Focus ST from a dig at a light in my 06 6mt base. Kids in the back and baseball gear. Side by side with him and his family. Pretty happy with the results, 270hp and 30mpg, I ain't complaining about that😂
