Efteling - Baron 1898

The steel divecoaster Baron 1898 plunges you down a 37,5 m free fall into the mineshaft at a speed of 90 km/h. This short clip shows this free fall.

Baron 1898 opened on July 1, 2015. Guests take on the role of one of Hooghmoed's employees. Hooghmoed gives his new employees a brief safety lecture before warning them against believing in the legend of the "Witte Wieven". Earlier they have warned Hooghmoed that if he disturbs the gold in any way, he will suffer terrible consequences for the rest of his life.
After boarding the spirits suddenly attack the special mine cars and as the train is about to drop off the lift, the "Witte Wieven" can be heard screaming and singing from the pit.

Efteling is the largest theme park in The Netherlands.
The success of Efteling has been attributed largely to its high-quality ride designs and architecture, in addition to its pleasant greenery and gardening.
