This bottle is also called a pycnometer. The ones I've used fills the glass stopper capillary all the way to the top. This one makes it to the middle. Maybe it's a design difference but just wondering if you pressed the stopper all the way down? Either way, you were really close to the literature value of the density you were testing.

Why cant we just use a normal measuring cylinder or a container having markings n then do the same method. Why only density bottle?
